KevinHi I’m Kevin,

I’m the CEO, Chairman or Buckstopper, as you wish. It stops with me.

I started  a carpet wholesale company  Lecaflor Carpets, in 1982. The business continues today as a smaller more specialised business.  I’m good for carpet advice if anyone ever needs any as I have been involved a long time! was started in 2004 when the government started to charge us rates on empty warehouse buildings. I had previously seen and used the concept in Alaska.

We expanded the business to two more branches in Northallerton and Scarborough in 2014 and are striving to be the best storage company in Yorkshire. We have our eyes on other sites and we hope our mantra of “The answer’s yes” and our competitive pricing will allow us to keep growing.

We hope that we all understand that the use of self storage can be a stressful time, our goal is to take the stress out of it and provide easy to use, competitive storage as and when you need it.

Hi, I’m Steve,

I started as a full time employee with in April 2014 but first began in 2012. I previously worked as an HGV driver, a vehicle gas fitter and a furniture restorer amongst other things!

I find working at to be a very challenging and rewarding job. One day I might be helping someone move house, next day unblocking drains or putting up a new building, every day is different. The challenge is always to keep our customers happy and take the stress out of using our facilities.

I am a passionate mountain biker, walker and enjoy motorcycling.

Hi, I’m Megan, I first began working at our Thirsk and Northallerton sites back in 2016 and with the growth of the business I am now branch manager at our Bishop Auckland site.

I graduated from my degree in Business Studies in 2017 and I also assist in the financial running of the company. I really enjoy helping people in their time of need, we all know how stressful moving can be but we aim to make this the easiest part.


Spending time with my daughter and I love to travel.

I am the manager for both the Scarborough Barry’s Lane and Cayton Low Road branches.

I am the social media manager for all of the My Lockup branches.

I have worked in sales and business development for over 20 years, I am always happy to help customers and try my best to problem solve.
